ЧИН БЛАГОСЛОВЕННЯ НОВОГО ДОМУ

Прийшовши у дім, що його хоче благословити, ієрей найперше творить освячення води. Якщо не буде освячення води, або її святили при закладенні дому, тоді ієреєві належить мати зі собою свячену воду і єлей. А перед тим нехай на кожній із чотирьох сторін дому буде зображено хрест. На столі, покритому обрусом, ставиться хрест, запалені свічки, свячену воду і єлей. Ієрей, одягнувши єпитрахиль і фелон, стає лицем на схід і починає, як звичайно:

Священик: Благослове́нний Бог наш завжди́, ни́ні, і повсякча́с, і на вíки вікíв.

Люди: Амíнь.

Сла́ва Тобí, Бо́же наш, сла́ва Тобí.

Ца́рю небе́сний, утіши́телю, Ду́ше íстини, що всю́ди єси́ і все наповня́єш, скарбни́це благ і життя́ пода́телю, прийди́, і всели́ся в нас, і очи́сти нас від уся́кої скве́рни, і спаси́, благи́й, ду́ші на́ші.

Коли не Гоcподь збудує дім — даремне будівничі трудилиcь, коли не Гоcподь охоронятиме міcто — даремне пильнував cторож. Даремне вcтаєте зрання; ви, що їcте хліб журби, вcтавайте піcля cпочинку, коли Бог даcть cон улюбленим cвоїм. Оце наcліддя від Гоcпода — cини; нагорода від Нього — плід утроби. Як cтріли у руці cильного, так cини-вигнанці. Блажен, хто cповнить ними жадання cвоє; не оcоромлятьcя вони, коли будуть говорити з ворогами cвоїми у воротях.

Пcалом 127:

Блаженні вcі, що боятьcя Гоcпода, ходять путями Його! Трудом рук твоїх живитиcя будеш, щаcливий ти, і добре тобі буде! Дружина твоя — як лоза плодовита біля дому твого. Cини твої — немов пароcтки оливні круг cтола твого. Оcь так благоcловен буде чоловік, що боїтьcя Гоcпода. Нехай благоcловить тебе Гоcподь із Cіону! От що добре, от що гарне: це коли браття живуть разом! Це як миро на голові, що на бороду cпливає, на бороду Арона, що cпливає на край одежі його. Це як роcа єрмонcька, що cходить на гори Cіонcькі, бо там заповів Гоcподь благоcловення і життя повік.

Також співає цей тропар, глас 8:

Так як для Закхеєвого дому Твій вхід, Христе, був спасенним, так і нині входом священних Твоїх служителів і з ними святих Твоїх ангелів мир Твій подай домові цьому, і милостиво благослови його, спасаючи і просвічуючи всіх, що захочуть жити в ньому.

Диякон: Господу помолімся.

Люди: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей читає вголос молитву:

Господи Ісусе Христе, Боже наш, що зволив ввійти під покрівлю Закхеєву, ставши спасенням для нього самого і цілого його дому, сам і нині тих, що хочуть тут жити і через нас, недостойних, мольби і благання Тобі приносять, від усякої напасті збережи неушкодженими, благословляючи їх і помешкання це і зберігаючи безпечним їхнє життя, щедро всі Твої блага подавай їм Твоїм благословенням.

Бо Ти благословляєш і освячуєш все, і Тобі належить усяка слава, честь і поклонення, з безначальним Твоїм Отцем, і пресвятим, благим і животворящим Твоїм Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Люди: Амíнь.

Диякон: Господу помолімся.

Люди: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей: Господи Боже наш, що на висотах живеш і на всіх споглядаєш, Ти благословив дім Лавана в приході Якова і дім Пентефрія приходом Йосифа, благословив дім Аведара через вхід кивота, і воплочення Христа Твого спасенням стало для Закхеєвого дому — сам благослови і дім цей, і тих, що жити в ньому хочуть, страхом Твоїм огороди, і неушкоджених від ворогів збережи, і благословення Твоє з висоти жилища Твого їм зішли, і благослови і умнож всі добра в домі цьому.

Бо Твоє єсть милувати і спасати нас, Боже наш, і Тобі славу возсилаємо, Отцю, і Сину, і Святому Духові, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Люди: Амінь.

Також ієрей благословить єлей (якщо немає благословленого на всеношному), знаменуючи його тричі, мовлячи: 

В ім’я Отця, і Сина, 

і Святого Духа. Амінь.

Також читає над ним оцю молитву:

Господи Боже наш, споглянь нині милостиво на молитву мене, смиренного і недостойного раба Твого, і зішли благодать пресвятого Твого Духа на єлей цей, і освяти його, щоб був він для освячення цього місця і на ньому спорудженого дому, і всім, що його споживають, і на прогнання всякої супротивної сили і сатанинських підступів.

Бо Ти благословиш і освячуєш все, Христе Боже наш, і Тобі славу возсилаємо, з Отцем і Святим Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Люди: Амінь.

Після цього ієрей кропить свяченою водою всі стіни дому назовні довкола і всі приміщення його, мовлячи:

В ім’я Отця, і Сина, 

і Святого Духа. Амінь.

Оцим окропленням свяченої води нехай дасть Господь дому цьому і всьому, що у ньому знаходиться, своє благословення і спокійне перебування.

Благословення всемогутнього Бога, Отця і Сина і Святого Духа, нехай зійде на місце це і перебуває завжди. Амінь.

Покропивши все, ієрей бере єлей, помазує ним стіни дому, де є зображення хреста, починаючи від східної сторони, потім західну, північну і південну, мовлячи при кожному помазанні:

В ім’я Отця, і Сина, 

і Святого Духа. Амінь.

Після помазання обтирає єлей на кожній стіні і спалює. 

Перед хрестами на кожній стіні запалює свічки, а співці у той час співають цю стихиру, глас 5:

Благослови, Господи, дім цей і сповни його земних Твоїх благ, і тих, що благочестиво у ньому жити хочуть, охорони від усякої злої напасти, і подай їм усякий достаток небесного і земного Твого благословення, і як щедрий помилуй по великій Твоїй милості.

Закінчивши помазання, ієрей стає зі східної сторони і мовить:

Щоб сподобилися ми слухання святого Євангелія, Господа Бога молім.

Люди: Господи, помилуй. (3)

Ієрей: Премудрість, прості, вислухаймо святого Євангелія. Мир усім.

Люди: І духові твоєму.

Ієрей: Від ім’ярек святого Євангелія читання.

Люди: Слава Тобі, Господи, слава Тобі.

Ієрей: Будьмо уважні.

І читає над головами жителів дому Євангеліє від Луки, зач. 94 (Лк. 19, 1-10):

У тому часі проходив Ісус через Єрихон. А був там чоловік, Закхей на ім’я; він був головою над митарями і був багатий. Бажав він побачити Ісуса, хто Він, але не міг задля народу, бо був малого зросту. Побіг він наперед, виліз на шовковицю, щоб подивитися на Нього, бо Ісус мав проходити туди. Пройшовши на те місце, Ісус глянув угору і сказав до нього: Закхею, злізай швидко, бо я сьогодні маю бути у твоїм домі. І зліз той швидко, і прийняв Його радо. Бачачи те, всі стали нарікати і казали: До чоловіка грішника зайшов у гостину. Закхей встав і промовив до Господа: Господи, ось половину майна мого даю вбогим, і коли я кого покривдив, віддам учетверо. А Ісус сказав до нього: Сьогодні на цей дім зійшло спасення, бо й він син Авраама. Син бо Чоловічий прийшов шукати і спасти те, що загинуло.

Люди: Слава Тобі, Господи, слава Тобі.

Тоді читають псалом 100:

Миліcть і cуд cпіватиму; Тобі, Гоcподи, буду cпівати і розважати про путь непорочну; коли прийдеш до мене? У невинноcті cерця мого ходив я в домі моєму. Не клав я перед очі мої діла протизаконного. Зненавидів я тих, що переcтупи чинять; не приcтало до мене cерце розпуcне. Лукавого, що ухилявcя від мене, не знав я. Того, що потай обмовляє ближнього cвого, я проганяв; з тим, у кого гордеє око та неcите cерце, я разом не їв. Очі мої звертаю на вірних землі, щоб поcадити їх разом зо мною; хто ходить шляхом непорочним, той cлужив мені. Не жив у домі моєму той, хто показує гордіcть; хто говорив неправду, не був праведний перед очима моїми. Побивав я щоранку вcіх грішних землі, щоб знищити у міcті Гоcподньому вcіх, хто чинить беззаконня.

Ієрей у той час, якщо хоче, кадить усередині весь дім. Після цього єктенія:

Ієрей: Помилуй нас, Боже, по великій милості Твоїй, молимось Тобі, вислухай і помилуй.

Люди: Господи, помилуй. (3)

Ієрей: Ще молимось, щоб Господь Бог наш зіслав своє благословення на раба свого ім’ярек, і на дім цей, і всіх, що хочуть благочестиво у ньому жити, і послав їм свого милостивого ангела, який беріг би їх і від усякого зла охороняв та наставляв на здобування усіх чеснот і виконання святих Христових заповідей; щоб убереглися вони від голоду, загибелі, землетрусу, потопу, граду, вогню, меча, нападу чужинців і всякої смертоносної рани, і щоб даровано їм було здоров’я з довголіттям, охоронено і всім забезпечено. Промовмо всі: Господи, вислухай і помилуй.

Люди: Господи, помилуй. (3)

Ієрей: Ще молимось за всю братію нашу і за всіх православних християн.

Люди: Господи, помилуй. (3)

Ієрей виголошує:

Вислухай нас, Боже, Спасителю наш, уповання всіх кінців землі і тих, що на морі далеко, і, милостивий, милостивим будь, Владико, до гріхів наших і помилуй нас. Бо Ти милостивий і чоловіколюбець Бог єси, і Тобі славу возсилаємо, Отцю, і Сину, і Святому Духові, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Люди: Амінь.

Ієрей чинить загальний відпуст.

Якщо перед цим чином було освячення води, тоді після виголосу «Вислухай нас, Боже...» ієрей мовить: Мир усім і решту, як у закінченні освячення води.

BLESSING OF A NEW HOUSE

Upon entering the house to be blessed, the priest first performs the sanctification of the water. If there is no sanctification of the water, or if it was blessed during the laying of the house, then the priest should have holy water and oil with him. Before that, a cross should be depicted on each of the four sides of the house. On a table covered with a cloth, the cross, lit candles, holy water, and oil are placed. The priest, wearing the epitrachilion (and felon), stands facing east and begins as usual:

Priest: Blessed be our God, always, now and for ever and ever.

Choir: Amén.

Glóry be to You, our Gód, glóry be to You!

Heávenly King, Ádvocate, Spírit of Trúth,* Who are éverywhere présent and fill all things,* Tréasury of Blessings, Bestówer of Lífe, come and dwell within us;* cleanse us of all that defíles us,* and, O Good One, save our sóuls.

Hóly Gód, Hóly and Míghty, Hóly and Immórtal, have mércy on us. (3x)

Priest: For the kíngdom, the pówer and the glóry are Yours, Fáther, and Són, and Hóly Spírit, now and for éver and éver.

Come, let us adóre the King, our Gód.

Psalm 126:  

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for He gives His beloved sleep. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127: 

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house; your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord. The Lord bless you from Zion! May you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life, and may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!

Psalm 132:  

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing—life forevermore.

Also, this troparion is sung in tone 8:  

Just as Your entrance, O Christ, was salvation for the house of Zacchaeus, so now, through the entrance of Your sacred ministers and with them Your holy angels, grant Your peace to this house and graciously bless it, saving and enlightening all who wish to live in it.

Priest: Let us pray to the Lord.  

People: Lord, have mercy.  

Priest reads aloud the prayer:  

O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, Who willed to enter under the roof of Zacchaeus, becoming salvation for him and his entire household, look now mercifully upon the prayers of me, Your unworthy servant, and through us, grant a blessing to all who wish to dwell here, preserving them unharmed from every misfortune, blessing them and this dwelling, and keeping their life safe,

generously granting them all Your good things through Your blessing.  

For You bless and sanctify all, and to You belongs all glory, honor, and worship, with Your eternal Father, and Your most holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.  

People: Amen.  

Priest: Let us pray to the Lord.  

People: Lord, have mercy.  

Priest: O Lord our God, Who dwell on high and look down upon all, You blessed the house of Laban at the coming of Jacob, and the house of Potiphar at the coming of Joseph; You blessed the house of Obed-Edom through the entrance of the Ark, and the Incarnation of Your Christ became salvation for the house of Zacchaeus—bless also this house, and those who wish to live in it, protect them with Your fear, preserve them unharmed from enemies, and send down Your blessing from the heights of Your abode, and bless and multiply all good things in this house.  

For it is Yours to mercy and save us, O our God, and we give glory to You Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.  

People: Amen.  

The Priest also blesses the oil (if there is no blessed oil from the all-night vigil), marking it three times, saying: 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.  

Priest also reads over it this prayer:  

O Lord our God, look graciously upon my prayer, me, Your humble and unworthy servant, and send down the grace of Your Holy Spirit upon this oil, and sanctify it, that it may be for the sanctification of this place and the house erected upon it, and for all who partake of it, and for the expel of every opposing power and the snares of the devil.  

For You bless and sanctify all, O Christ our God, and we give glory to You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.  

People: Amen.  

After this, the Priest sprinkles holy water on all the walls of the house, inside and out, saying:  

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.  

By this sprinkling of holy water, may the Lord grant His blessing and peaceful dwelling to this house and all that is in it.  

The blessing of the Almighty God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, may descend upon this place and remain always. Amen.  

After sprinkling everything, the Priest takes the oil and anoints the walls of the house where the cross is depicted, beginning from the eastern side, then the western, northern, and southern sides, saying at each anointing:  

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.  

After anointing, Priest wipes the oil from each wall and burns it. In front of the crosses on each wall, he lights candles, while the People sings this 

Stichera in tone 5:  

Bless, O Lord, this house, and fill it with Your earthly blessings, and protect those who wish to live piously in it from every evil attack, and grant them every abundance of Your heavenly and earthly blessings, and as a generous benefactor, have mercy according to Your great mercy.  

The Holy Gospel. 

After completing the anointing, the Priest stands on the eastern side and says:  

Priest: That we may be deemed worthy to listen of the Holy Gospel, let us pray to the Lord.  

People: Lord, have mercy. (3)  

Priest: Wisdom, stand aright. Let us listen to the Holy Gospel. +Peace be with all.  

People: And with your spirit.  

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.  

People: Glory be to You, O Lord, glory be to You.

Priest: Let us be attentive.  

And reads over the heads of the inhabitants of the house the Gospel of Luke, chapter 19 (Luke 19:1-10):  

At that time, Jesus was passing through Jericho. And there was a man named Zacchaeus; he was the chief tax collector and was rich. He sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor, and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”  

People: Glory be to You, O Lord, glory be to You.

Psalm 100:  

I will sing of mercy and justice; to You, O Lord, I will sing praises and meditate on the perfect way. When will You come to me? I walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly, him I will destroy; the one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, him I will not endure. My eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence. Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

If the priest wishes, he may incense the house at this time.

Litany: 

Priest: Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your great mercy, we pray to You, hear us and have mercy.  

People: Lord, have mercy. (3x) 

Priest: We also pray that the Lord God may send His blessing upon His servant [name], and upon this house, and upon all who wish to live piously in it. May He send His gracious angel to protect them from all evil and guide them in acquiring all virtues and fulfilling the holy commandments of Christ; that they may be kept safe from famine, destruction, earthquake, flood, hail, fire, sword, invasion by foreigners, and every deadly plague; and that health and long life may be granted to them, and that they may be protected and provided for in all things. Let us all say: Lord, hear us and have mercy.  

People: Lord, have mercy. (3x) 

Priest: We also pray for all our brethren and all Orthodox Christians.  

People: Lord, have mercy. (3x)  

Priest: Hear us, O God, our Savior, hope of all the ends of the earth and of those who are far at sea, and, being merciful, be gracious to our sins and have mercy on us. For You are merciful and love mankind, and to You we send up glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.  

People: Amen.

Priest: Wisdom!  

People: More honorable than the cherubim,* and by far more glorious than the seraphim,* ever a virgin, you gave birth to God the Word,* O true Mother of God, we magnify you.  

Priest: Glory be to You, O Christ our God, our hope, glory be to You.

People: +Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,* now and for ever and ever. Amen.* Lord, have mercy. (3x)* Give the blessing.

Priest: Christ, our true God, through the prayers of His Immaculate Mother, the venerable and God-bearing Fathers, and of the saint [whose feast day is being celebrated], have mercy on us and save us, for He is good and loves mankind.
